IRIS!
Its barely been a week since we got back from the 'holidays' and things have swung right back into action.Academically, the only word that can be used to describe this term so far (one week in total) is - overwhelming. We have a workload like never before. Most courses this term seem Fin oriented and for someone like me who 3 months ago could barely spell 'Finance', it couldn't get better than this (i'm being sarcastic here.. just clarifying :)
And while thats all happening, there is IRIS.
IRIS is the annual festival of IIM Indore and its going to be held between the 10th and 13th of november. Preparations are underway and it just feels so exciting (my name is on the brochure! :D) in the beginning of the year, our seniors told us that if there is one thing for which everyone here gives their all, its IRIS. and i can see how that is true.

Finance is just like a cake if you know how to handle things. Dont think big in finance if you wanna understand the basics. We are simple people who can do only simple things. Imagine you own a small shop where you sell stuffs and put the finance funda in that. If the debt is 70 million imagine you have borrowed 70 Rs. from your friend. If the equity is 100 million imagine that it is 100 rs. you have collected from people who will share your profit.
